Elevating Denim Through Sustainability

This collection redefines denim’s role in fashion by combining sustainability with exotic designs. The collection has a focus on denim since it's a fashion staple with a deep-rooted impact on society, has symbolized various social movements and cultural shifts throughout history. Yet, despite its commonness, denim remains one of the fashion industry’s most environmentally harmful materials. My deep passion for sustainability has driven me to detach denim from its casual roots through unconventional techniques and materials. Through this method, I have been able to elevate denim’s look in order to appeal to high fashion standards, while still maintaining a sense of streetwear focused on sustainability.

By using repurposed denim, sheer fabrics, polka-dot prints, and innovative hand-stitching methods, I aim to create voluminous, sculptural silhouettes rarely seen in streetwear. The combination of street style with high-fashion detailing is meant to embody a futuristic vision, one where sustainable practices and bold, expressive design coexist. The collection’s oversized shapes and layered textures invite a fresh perspective on what denim can be, pushing beyond traditional boundaries. Through this collection, I hope to highlight the endless potential of denim as a sustainable, expressive medium and inspire a shift towards environmentally conscious design without sacrificing creativity or style.

Plus size collection: repurposing denim to adapt fit and size

Design process

This collection is dedicated to the often-overlooked plus-size customer, a demographic that continues to face exclusion within the fashion industry. Too often, plus-size clothing is designed without the same level of care, artistry, and fit given to traditional sizes, leaving these customers with limited options that fail to represent their individuality and style. Recognizing this gap, I set out to create a collection that not only includes but celebrates plus-size customers by integrating them into my up cycled fashion vision.

The foundation of this collection is denim, although it is one of the most environmentally harmful materials, my commitment to sustainability drives me to transform this fabric in new, artistic ways.

This collection seeks to dismantle outdated standards in both fashion and sustainability. The oversized shapes, layered textures, and playful yet sophisticated designs symbolize a shift toward a more inclusive and creative future. Every piece celebrates the individuality of the wearer, offering garments that are not just functional but expressive works of art.
